共面转换液晶显示器中获得对比度高于1:600的新技术

薄膜晶体管液晶电视(TFT-LCD TV)因为具有薄、轻、紧凑和可随意放置的特点，已经占据了大部分电视机市场。除了这些物理特性以外，最重要的特性是已具有了良好像质的对比度。为了将对比度提高到1：600以上，对偏振片膜、背光源板、滤色片树脂、电极锥角和摩擦条件等都进行了研究。优化的背光板组合，光滑的电极锥角和摩擦方法的控制是提高对比度的主要控制因素。应用新开发的滤色片树脂，对获得高对比度最为有效。     

Chromatographic analysis of ceramide III ofSaccharomyces cerevisiae

Ceramide was prepared by the cultivation ofSaccharomyces cerevisiae from cell extracts by solvent exfraction and analyzed by NP-HPLC using a UV detector. The mobile phase was composed of hexane, methanol, and IPA. From the experimental conditions, the composition of mobile phase was 72/5/23 (hexane/IPA/methanol, vol%). Quantitative analysis of ceramide was performed. Based on the analytical conditions, the effect of cultivation temperature for the production of ceramide was investigated and the optimum cultivation temperature was found to be 35°C. Modeling and analysis of hierarchical cellular networks with general distributions of call and cell residence times

We present an analytic model for the performance evaluation of hierarchical cellular systems, which can provide multiple routes for calls through overflow from one cell layer to another. Our model allows the case where both the call time and the cell residence time are generally distributed. Based on the characterization of the call time by a hyper-Erlang distribution, the Laplace transform of channel occupancy time distribution for each call type (new call, handoff call, and overflow call) is derived as a function of the Laplace transform of cell residence time. In particular, overflow calls are modeled by using a renewal process. Performance measures are derived based on the product form solution of a loss system with capacity limitation. Numerical results show that the distribution type of call time and/or cell residence time has influence on the performance measure and that the exponential case may underestimate the system performance.     

Noninvasive botryoid extension of Wilms'' tumor into the bladder

We present the previously unreported CT appearance of a Wilms' tumor which extended down the ureter and protruded into the bladder as a botryoid mass. The tumor apparently arose from an intralobar nephrogenic rest and demonstrated local invasion into renal sinus vessels and papillae. There was no tumor invasion into the wall of the ureter or bladder, and therefore, the extension into the ureter and bladder did not upstage the tumor. This report adds to the list of differential diagnoses of a botryoid bladder mass in a child and demonstrates yet another unusual manifestation of Wilms' tumor.     

Steroidal glycosides of the 14,15-seco-18-nor-pregnane series from Cynanchum ascyrifolium

Three new steroidal glycosides named cynascyrosides A-C were isolated from the roots of Cynanchum ascyrifolium. The structures of these compounds were determined on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence as cynajapogenin A 3-O-alpha-D-oleandropyranosyl-(1-->4)-beta-L-cymaropyranosyl -(1-->4)-beta-D- digitoxopyranoside; cynajapogenin A 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-alpha-L-cymaropyranosyl- (1-->4)-beta-L-cymaropyranosyl-(1-->4)-beta-L-cymaropyranoside+ ++; cynajapogenin A 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-alpha-L-cymaropyranosyl- (1-->4)-beta-D-digitoxopyranosyl-(1-->4)-beta-L-cymaropyranosid e.     

A two-year measurement of rainfall attenuation of CW microwaves inSingapore

The authors present two-year statistics on the rainfall attenuation of 21.225 GHz vertically polarized CW microwave signals in Singapore. The CCIR recommendation is found to underestimate the microwave specific attenuation (dB/km) per path average rain rate (mm/h) as well as the accumulated time of attenuation exceeding preset levels. A negative exponential raindrop size distribution based on spherical droplets is constructed from the measured data     

A general expression of dyadic Green's functions in radiallymultilayered chiral media

A general expression of spectral-domain dyadic Green's function (DGF) is presented for defining the electromagnetic radiation fields in spherically arbitrary multilayered and chiral media. Without any loss of the generality, each of the radial multilayers could be the chiral layer with different permittivity, permeability, and chirality admittance, while both distribution and location of current sources are assumed to be arbitrary. The DGF is composed of the unbounded DGF and the scattering DGF, based on the method of scattering superposition. The scattering DGF in each layer is constructed in terms of the modified and normalized spherical vector wave functions. The coefficients of the scattering DGFs are derived and expressed in terms of the equivalent reflection and transmission coefficients, by applying boundary conditions satisfied by the coefficient matrices
